Hi eddy: You can use iPhoto which will scan pictures in, but will not do any ocr. You can get Vuescan, (try it first), for $40, and it will do pics, text pdf and rtf. Just not much out thtere that's free. Also, I'm working with the developer because my Vuescan has gotten stuck on busy after having worked fine during the trial.
