I use Skype 2.8 on my snow leopard setup. I also use growl for all the chat 
functions in Skype. other than that, its pretty easy to use. without growl, 
however, the live chat windows become a real PITA to use.

I haven't tried out 5 beta yet, but from what I hear, its buggy as hell and 
still has some accessibility problems.
