Hi Ray, Marlaina, and Others,

I created signatures with VoiceOver drag and drop some time ago, so I
haven't experimented with this, but I've pulled up an old post from
the archives from nearly a year ago on this topic:
http://www.mail-archive.com/macvisionaries%40googlegroups.com/msg16253.html

It describes a few options, including an old post that Anne wrote
detailing how to use VoiceOver drag and drop for this. I haven't tried
the Snow Leopard text expansion method I describe there.

I'll just point out that anyone who has SmileOnMyMac's TextExpander
application can also define their own snippets that expand into
multiple lines of text (if needed) -- which could be multiple lines of
a signature, part of a form letter, etc. I have an older version of
TextExpander, which I didn't upgrade, because I was told the older
preference pane for,at is more accessible. I also use this for typing
accented words, names, and text in other languages, and for syncing to
the (separate) TextExpander app on my iPod Touch -- where simplifying
keyboard entry was more of an issue. It's a bit special purpose, but
you could wait for their next sale if you would find this general
expansion useful. Then you could type your snippet definition for a
signature (e.g., "ssig" -- "sig" with an extra "s" in front), and have
it expand to three or four lines of your signature and contact
information.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther
