Hi new mac user:
You'll be able to import those pretty easily.  Depending on your mail, You can 
save the file as a CSV (meaning comma separated values), and import it.  Most 
likely there's a way to do this with favorites.  But, I haven't attempted it.
Think you'll love the Mac.
