Hi there, Yes, some updates were run right after the installation was complete, but then the Macbook freaked out so I don't know for sure if they took. I don't believe there was a Safari update, but I'll go check for updates now.
I remember one thing; it said it would start setup assistent right after the Macbook restarted, but then the Welcome to Voiceover thing happened, and there never was a setup assistent. In recent items, setup assistent was listed, but would not start.
