Hello Sarah, Getting to the attachment is absolutely no problem for me; I save attachments all the time. However, in this particular instance, something goes wrong.
1. I VO to the attachment. 2. I type Shift-VO-M to get to the context menu. Here, things go south, as it were. I am not presented with the menu where one can open or save an attachment. Nor can I save the attachment from the File menu, something which is normally possible. Perhaps Mac's mail program automatically "shies away" from winmail.dat files. ;) Thanks for your thoughts.
