With in the Drop Box folder which is off the Home folder, you'll find a public folder. It is in to this folder you put files you want to share with other people. Just use the normal copy and paste procedures with which I assume you are familiar. Now, once you've got a file in to that folder, you need to arrow to it, then open the short cut menu. Within that short cut menu, there will be a Drop Box submenu. Inside this menu, there will be an option called "copy public link". Press space on this and then when you make an e-mail message to the person, just paste the link directly in to the body of the message. The recipient will get the message and right click on the link. this will open up the context menu from which they will choose "save target as...". IF a Mac user, just open the short cut menu on the link and click on copy linked file.
In the case of sharing folders, it's actually much faster. Find the file you want to send and just paste that file directly in to the shared folder. when you do that, the file will be placed directly in to that person's version of the shared folder on their end because Drop Box will Synchronize your version of the shared folder with that of the person with whom you are sharing the folder.
