It's interesting that webkit seems to be causing more problems lately.  I 
actually stopped relying on webkit after the last Safari update.  And, I really 
have experienced fewer problems.  Occasionally, I have to turn VO off.  But, 
overall, I'm thinking Webkit is taking some turns for the worst.  It would be 
good to log observations and contact accessibility about them asap, before the 
goof up Safari further.
