Hi Sarah,
Here's a snippet i wrote a long time ago which i bound to a trackpad gesture
alongside other folders.
tell application "Finder"
activate
make new Finder window to POSIX file "/users/sarah/documents"
end tell
I put the users/sarah on purpose but you can change that part with your short
username and it will work fine
