Hi All,
I've begun fiddling with Zoom, the multi format interactive fiction
interpreter, and have been pleased for the most part. The games I've tried
playing so far have worked quite well, and Alex makes a good voice for them.
Unfortunately, when I start the interpreter without loading a game, the initial
table of available titles seems almost useless. I can read the table just
fine, with the exception of the column for a user rating, which VO considers to
be unknown. Unfortunately, I can't seem to start games from the table. There
are images on the screen with appropriate help tags, but VO+space doesn't yield
the expected behavior. Attempting to route the mouse manually and click with
that produces similar results.
Is this a flaw in the way the program was written, VoiceOver, or both? It's a
minor inconvenience, but I'd love to be able to use the browser the way it was
intended.
Any tips would be appreciated.
Best,
Zack.
