Assuming your on 4.2, jailbreak on the iPhone 4 is tethered at the moment, meaning that when ever your phone reboots, assuming that you want to run jailbreak apps, you'll have to rejailbreak the phone from a computer. Even if you don't want to run any jailbreak apps, safari will crash every time you open it if you don't run the tool. In other words its really not worth it.
