Hi Marissa,

I have listened to your Numbers podcast, and I think I can clarify two things:

•You can edit any cell simply by VO-Shift-Space on the cell.

•The reason you hear what you write in cell A2 in other cells in row 2, is
because just like row 1 is a header row, column A is also a header column.
VoiceOver is set to read the headings related to the cells you navigate, so
anything you write in the head row or head column will be read in the crossing
cell of those headings. When you are in C5, VO will read the content of the
cell, followed by heading in column C and row 5. There are settings in
VoiceOver Utility to change the way VO read the headings info, and there are
also options in Numbers to set which rows and columns (if any) should be
treated like headings. The simplest solution for you, is to uncheck the setting
in the Numbers menu that allocates column A to be a header column.

Hope this helps,
John André
