HI. My mac recognizes the dac as a usb sound card which is basically what it is. Unfortunately, It directs all sounds through it with no control that AI can find to change this.

while vo sounds good through tube geer, I only really want to hear the music through it.

but that pipes all sound. I have never gotten voice over, just voice over to go
through that card and keep my stuff through the internal speakers.

You could always get a separate USB sound card and pipe the audio out via the
external sound card.

Not that I am aware of. But I could be wrong.

HI all. I have my mac connected to a usb dac for listening to music. I would
love to be able to have voice over come out of the internal speaker on my mac
and have the usb dac reserved for the audio stream. Is there a way of directing
which sound output device to send vo over? I looked around but couldn't find
anything obvious. Would love to only hear music through the stereo and not my
mac voice.

Brian.
