Hi Chad, VirtualBox's GUI isn't really accessible, last time I tried. You can access the menus once your VM is started though. What makes VirtualBox nice is that there's a command line interface which you can use from the terminal. It's a bit complicated at first, but once you've fiddled with it a bit you can do anything to your VM you could do from the GUI, including starting it up and creating new ones, obviously. My advice to you would be to get more ram, though. I'll bet VirtualBox is sluggish too, with the amount you have. I have 4 gigs myself and haven't noticed any issues. Best, Zack.
