For what it is worth, I was very disappointed in TomTom. I found it difficult to use with VO and found it was not possible to get turn directions i.e. right/left. I regret purchasing that app.
I've been pretty impressed with the Mapquest app. Aside from address entry being a bit tedious, the directions have been solid and for free I'm surprised what the app does.
