Hi Kary, I am able to access profile, messages, friends, etc on m.facebook.com and have no problems reading, posting and liking.
What's your mac make, model, OS version, browser version? I assume you've rebooted and tried the same thing with no other apps or web pages open? Is anything else listed if you open the application or window chooser menus while the Safari busy issue is happening?
