Hi Sarah, Thank you for the helpful hint. I don't see the HSF format you spoke of though. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Hmm, I went under disc utilities and then saw format mac os extended jurnaled, mac journaled. I erased all my data on the disc and I'm now backing up again. It seems to work perfectly right now. Any suggestions ideas? Thank you again.
