Hi Marlaina,

I think I originally posted this on the viphone list in answer to Scott Howell,
so that means searching the archives would have to be done with the Google
Groups web pages and the post could be hard to locate, but the way to avoid
extraneous busy activity when logging into the MobileMe web site is to append
the section you want to log into at the end of the address. That means that
you add a slash and then "account", or "mail", or "find" (for "Find My
iPhone"), or "calendar", etc. like this:
http://www.me.com/account
http://www.me.com/mail
http://www.me.com/find

The address will resolve to a secure web address once your enter it into the
Safari address field (e.g., if you used Command-L to move to the address field
and typed this in, you'll get pointed to an address that begins with "https://";
instead of the normal "http://"; without the "s" at the end of "http"). I think
that normally the main web page runs a javascript for your selection of the
area of MobileMe you want, and this leads to busy messages. The other way you
could get to your accounts screen is by going to the "MobileMe" menu in "System
Preferences" (Control-F2 or VO-M to the menu bar, arrow down, press "s y" to
"System Preferences", then navigate to "MobileMe" and VO-Space). I don't know
whether you've already set up MobileMe for your computer. On systems with no
MobileMe setup, there will be a login that lets you sign in with your Member
Name (e.g. <your_name at me dot com>) and password in the text boxes, and then
a "Sign In" button you can press (VO-Space). The other part of that pane will
be a "Try MobileMe" side with button to a web page for trial subscription. If
you have signed into MobileMe, then you'll find instead four tabs -- "Account",
"Sync", "iWeb", and "Back to My Mac". Pressing the button for "Account
Details" on the "Account" tab basically takes you to the Safari Login page for
MobileMe, and will open up in your Account page after you log in. (I find it
easier to just type the MobileMe URL address with the appended slash and
"account", as described earlier, but this will also work.)

HTH. Cheers,

Esther
