Tony, If your MB Pro is 2008 or before, you're out of luck. I'm in the same boat. My MB Pro is late 2008 or second generation. So, I used an Apple gift card I had & spent $69 for the blue tooth Magic Track Pad. I think it's great! But, I admit I've become so used to using the keyboard that I only use the pad for some commands. I'd probably use it more if it were right on the laptop. It is fun to use though, I'll admit.
