Hi Mary,

Actually, I downloaded my demo directly from the app store. Upon seeing the
note about the release on this list, I visited the app store on my mac,
performed a search for "docuscan", and it pulled up Docuscan Plus right away.
It's listed as free. Just as on the iPhone, it installs the app for you. When
you run the program for the first time, it will prompt you to enter your
account information, and if you don't have an account yet, to sign up for one.
It also has a "learn more" button to click on in order to well, learn more
about creating an account and starting the seven-day free trial.
I am also an avid K1000 user but I have to admit I can't stand the fact I have
to boot back into windows just to scan the mail every day. And of course, as a
matter of convenience, I have to think about whether or not there is anything
else I need to get scanned before booting back into OSX. It's not so much I am
trying to be a "hater" when it comes to windows, but rather, I love my mac and
use it for everything *but* scanning. If Docuscan will accomplish my needs, it
will be well worth the money. Although, one question I just came up with while
playing with it, can it scan two pages at a time like K1000? This is something
I am experimenting with as we speak. :-) This is one feature of K1000 I get a
lot of use out of. I would highly recommend giving it a try though. Whether
or not you purchase it in the end, it costs nothing to take a test drive for
the first seven days. I figured I would bang it around quite a bit before
making the decision myself. After all, money trees are not in season right now!
