Just have to add my penny's worth, but after adding in the cost of a computer in general, software for speech, scanning, etc, is a mac *really* that extravagantly priced? Also, apps for the mac are sometimes more costly then those for the i phone, dunno, seems like it all evens out in the end, really, it's all really when you pay, really.
