I know exactly what happened to you. Do you have the click to flash extension installed? If so, here's how you get rid of the noise. Go in to the click to flash prefs and from there, set the player to load automatically but not play. What was happening to you was this. That home page has a number of book samples on it. Because your click to flash is set to play automatically, every single sample started up all at once. Just set your click to flash to load automatically but not play, and, prob solved.
