It might have been Bento. That's a database app developed by FileMaker that is
more user friendly than their flagship FileMaker Pro.

Subject: Revisiting database again

Hi everyone!

A while back I had asked you fine folks what database programs for the
MacBook are accessible. Someone wrote back and gave me the name of a
program that I think began with the letter "M"? Or was it the letter
"B". I thought I saved that message, but of course I am unable to find
it. Does anyone have any ideas on the subject in general?

Thanks so much!

Johnny C
