Krister,

You have to set the format to Text under the Input section, and check the 
checkbox for "OCR text" under the Output Section. Remember that the checkbox is 
to the right of the label, not to the left, like you might expect. Also, set 
the language to Swedish in the Prefs section. You don't need to open anything 
else then VueScan to begin.
