Hi all,

I've been using this airport extreme for a while with no problems. Then our
cable went out today and I had to reset the modem and the router, per cable
company instructions. Things began to work again, and now I'm getting a problem
report from airport utility saying I have a double nat problem and the
following message.
This Apple Wi-Fi base station has a private IP address on its Ethernet WAN
port. It is connected to a device or network that is using Network Address
Translation (NAT) to provide private IP addresses. You should change your Apple
Wi-Fi base station from using DHCP and NAT to bridge mode.
I'm using a cable modem which, to the best of my knowledge, should not be set
up as is being recommended by the airport utility. How in heaven's name would
an airport extreme get a private ip address on its input? I'm reluctant to make
the recommended change for fear of screwing something up.
