I've been playing with that actually, and it's the remove button, VO
space bar it and then you can scroll through the menu with the up and
down arrows. The problem with that is you can't ignore the photo
application, which is obviously pointless isn't it, and there is no
option to block the "Who's made friends with who," application.

There is a way of setting it only onto status updates. Hit most recent
just above nuewsfeed and scroll to "Status updates". Unfortunately
this doesn't stick and you have to do it again each time.

The old mobile facebook was perfect in my humble point of view. It's
actually making me use it less because there is so much redundant
information in the mobile one and that the full site is rather
cumbersome to navigate.
