When at your desktop, hit command+shift+U to open the utilities folder. Now in here, find Disk Utility. If you're anything like me, I use Disk Utility... a... lot... at best, so I then hit command+shift+T and placed it on my dock for easy access. that's up to you though.

Once you press command+O to open Disk Utility, go ahead at that [point and put a blank CD or DVD in your drive. Now, up at the top of the screen you'll find a toolbar. If you interact with it, one of the buttons in there says burn. If you Vo+Space on this, then you'll be presented with a standard open file finder dialog. Navigate to the iso/dmg, etc. like you would normally, then hit open. Next follow the dialogs on the screen, and you should be on your way.

Chris.

How does one burn an ISO image to a DVD or CD using the Mac and VO?
