I'm not trying to argue with you, but I navigate between twitter's buffers with 
command left and right arrow all the time. It
works like a dream. I've never even heard of commands involving the brackets. I 
love it that once you're in the buffer you
want, you can just use the plain arrow keys to read messages.

no.  Command right arrow doesn't do this either.  its command shift left or 
right bracket.
