Hi DOnna, Very odd. WHen you say "status" are we talking about the same thing? For instance, when I view this conversation if it's closed and there are unread messages I hear "unread" before opening it. You might want to switch to the classic layout, which is more or less identical to the way Mail behaved in SL. THat's in Viewing preferences, if you feel so inclined. Best, Zack.
