I never liked the old mail layout on the mac so am pretty sure I will actually like this new one. But I'm having several unrelated difficulties. part of this probably comes from my being too much of a newbee with the mac in the first place i'm afraid. So it may not all be Lion.
First, where would I go to edit my sMTP server? It's not correct for one of my accounts but I seem to be going in circles when I try to make changes to it. So where do I go and basically how do I go about this. My other issue relates to reading mail. I prefer not to have conversation view so have turned that off. I can move through the messages and can read them etc. But I only have my Inbox. Where are my other boxes. And can I disable the entire smart Inbox function? I really liked my accounts being individualized since they are for work and home. I've liked being able to be at work or home exclusively with respect to mail. Now it's all mixed together. I know they introed the smart box on the phone and I was able to disable it there, but I've searched everywhere. I think if I can disable smart boxes and fix my SMTP server issues, I might be pretty set in mail. Thanks for any help.
