Well, yeah? you can't drag something that isn't there to start with, and if
you close the window, then, no? It won't! be there anymore.

Subject: a possible suggestion concerning drag and drop
I had trouble with drag and drop the first few times I tried it but it seems
that it works if I leave the source folder open then navigate to the place
where I want to drop the file. For example, I wanted to move something from
my dropbox into an itunes playlist. I opened my dropbox folder and selected
the items and marked them with vo comma and then did command tab to the
itunes playlist and did a vo period to drop the files and it worked. I
tried again but this time I closed the dropbox window and got the "selection
no longer available" message when I tried to drop the selection into my
playlist. so I am wondering if perhaps the folder you are moving files from
should be left open?
