All, I have purchased in installed VMWare 3.1.3, and purchased and downloaded Windows 7 Home Premium. I am struggling to figure out how to get VMWare to see and install Windows. The Microsoft download included a setup executable, and 2 .box files. I ran this on my PC, and got an 'Expanded Setup' folder, complete with .inf file and other standard CD looking files. However, VMWare appears to expect an image .dmg file, or a physical CD.
I would appreciate any guidance on how to make this work. Can I create a .dmg file from my Expanded Setup folder? Is there a simpler option?
