Hi all, There is a area on the menu bar that Voice over can not navigate to. Because some menu bar items are dynamic and are not always on the same place on the menu bar. I have developed a apple script that searches the menu bar and will find the growl or dropbox menu. The script will search the menu bar for any menu name you put in the edit field. The default name is dropbox. The search starts from the right side of the screen on the menu bar and moves to the left. When the menu item is found the item is clicked and a verbal announcement tells you that you are on the drop down menu. From this point you can use voice over navigation to explore the drop down menu. If the script finds the help menu item the search stops. and announces that the name of the menu item that you put in the edit field is not on the menu bar. The script requires a new folder be created in your home folder. In the new folder a small Unix binary that I will provide you will place in the new folder. Contact me off list if you want to use this script. louie [email protected]
