Yes, the best for mac as far as accessibility is DocuScan Plus from Serotek.  
You can get a 7 day trial by downloading the app for free from the app store.  
When you install it and bring it up the first time it will let you register it 
and get a 7 day trial period for using the software.  The price is $299 which 
is much cheaper than OpenBook or Kurzweil1000.  It will use a variety of 
scanners and the HoverCam digital camera can be used in place of a scanner.  
One of the nice things about that digital camer is that when using it on a Mac 
it does not require the installation of any device drivers.
