yes. the infovox voices worked perfectly for me in lion as well, even though I'm currently not using it. I didn't even apply this fix. Maybe I'd need it for a clean install, but as things are now, they work fine, and I didn't notice any sluggishness to speak of. I've got all of the US and UK voices installed.
