Hi, Yes, I just do the same as Anne expressed, pressing cmd-f5, wait a second, do it again and after repeating this 4 or 5 times, VO begins speaking again. Your computer is not freezing at all. Just for interest sake, in your Energy Saver Preferences in System Prefs, check the box that tells your Mac to restart if it freezes. You'll know if it has frozen because it will restart itself.
