My only advice is if you have a means of doing so, back up your system as it is now. I used CCC to back it up, and when lion just didn't work out for me, I was able to restore my system. I went ahead and backed up lion too, so plan to try it out once in a while. Once the bugs get worked out, I can do the CCC thing in reverse.
