Thanks for the reply. I have everything figured out now. Growl was configured properly. The problem was the way I had voices set up in Lion. I was using Karren as my default system voice. I wanted to use Alex as my alert voice in Adium but this wouldn't work. I had to make Alex my default voice and choose him as my alert voice as well. I guess things aren't completely ironed out with Adium and Lion. Oh well, it's a good thing I'm used to the Alex voice I guess. I do like Karren for reading but I guess I could set an activity up for when I'm doing any lengthy reading. ---------- Earle
