Hello everyone, Because I need my laptop on the go all the time I am
considering buying a macbook air over a macbook pro. I like power but I
hope the ssd in the macbook air makes up for the higher lcock speed in
the 13 inch macbook pro. I was thinking i would need firewire for an
external soundcard but apparently there are now also external ones that
use usb 2.0. I guess the macbook air has bluetooth so I oculd use my
braille display tat way. I dont use dvds or cds often so thats no
problem either. The worse sound is not nice but I do have headphones I
can use.
So for me at this time there seems nothing against choosing the macbook
air over the macbook pro.
Now I have to either choose 13 or 11 inch. I am totally blind so the
quality of the screen does not really matter for me and I dont need an
internal card reader.
In the Netherlands the 11 inch model I want costs 1300 euro, its the one
with 128 gb memory, 4gb ram and the i7 1.8 ghz i7 processor.
Alternatively I would go for the 13 inch version with 256 gb, 4gb ram
1.8 ghz i7 processor. This one though is 300 euro more expensive and I
think the only big difference is the better screen and the 128gb more
memory. I do have an 1.5tb external drive though and I hope I will be
able to get by with 128 for my system files.
I have heard though that the 13 inch versionhas a bigger internal accu
and that might matter with the 1.8 ghz processor.
I find it difficult to choose so any help/advice would be appreciated.
Greetings, Anouk,
