to do this, you will need to do this, 1. ofcourse backup your data! 2. restart your mac mini, and when the sound plays, hold down command r, i recommend holding that down for about 10 seconds this will start recovery mode, what it will do here is download the recovery image from apple's servers, this can take some time, it took my mac i think like 5 minutes. if you have your mac connected to a ethernet connection this will be simpler. this will make sure you load internet recovery. if you are on wifi, i can't explain how to do it because i don't use wifi once this loads, you will need to erase the partition that your mac is installed on by using disk utility. once you have done this close disk utility
