Hi Alex, In your Mail Prefs, Incoming is imap.gmail.com and Outgoing should be smtp.gmail.com. You should also enable SSL with Password authentication in the smtp settings. You can manipulate these smtp settings by doing the following:
1. Open Mail Prefs. 2. Select the Accounts tab. 3. Select the desired eMail account. 4. Select the Account Information tab. 5. Navigate to the smtp pop-up. 6. Choose Edit SMTP Settings from the pop-up. 7. Select smtp.gmail.com in the Table. 8. Select the Advanced tab. 9. Leave the ports as is. 10. Check the "Use SSL" checkbox. 11. Ensure the authentication method is set to "Password". 12. Enter your full eMail address in the username field. For example, [email protected]. 13. Enter your gmail password and click the OK button. 14. Close the Mail Prefs and save the changes. That should do it, at least it works for me.
