Hello again, Well, I kept researching and found another solution to my question. I just found that command option N will open a new mail window in which I can then open another mailbox. Then I can easily switch between the windows to check my inbox and my other mailbox.
This works, but if anyone knows how I can change command 2 to do the trick, I'm still interested.
