Hi all, OK, I'm back home now, and still unable to get rid of this user account. I followed Jim's excellent instructions, but I am not allowed to delete the user folder.
I'm really perplexed about how this is supposed to work. I mean, if you purchase a new Mac, your name and your Apple ID are going to remain the same. Why on earth would migration assistant expect your account to have a different name? And what the **** are you supposed to do about it? If anyone has successfully used the migration assistant, I'd love to hear how on earth you did it.
