Hi,

when you say menus, are you talking about the context menu that comes up when 
you press VO shift M?  Because it worked for me.  I went about it a little 
differently though.  I pressed command L which brings up your 
following/followers window.  Then select the following tab.  Then I interacted 
with the table, found the name I wanted, and pressed VO shift M.  I selected 
send DM and the info was in the edit field.

By the way,  if the person is in your time line or any other list, you can just 
press the letter d on their tweet and send them a DM that way as well.
