If that's the case, could you provide a short tutorial of some sort on how to 
calculate inferential stats, such as two-way ANOVAs and chi-square?  That would 
be very helpful to those of us who are not highly proficient with the advanced 
functions of spreadsheets.

Me:

One need not code an app for this.  Any spreadsheet will do any stats one
could want.  In fact it is a great way to learn the guts of how the math is
done for a given stat test.  There are some stat tests already built in and
any other can be done using the math facility of a spreadsheet.

Good too is the built in graphing facility of a spreadsheet for any who
will
make use of the results in a visual fashion.
