Hi Paul Hunt,
1. Are you sure you got the backslash?
2. Did you verify it using keyboard help command k that it is the backslash?
3. You don't need to put the vo cursor on a column heading. Just move over to 
the column, it doesn't matter on which item you land, and then do vo shift 
backslash.
