Now that is very strange indeed. I have the latest update as of this afternoon; and, have never had the issues you site.
Perhaps it might help if you uninstall Web Kit and got it from the site as if you knever had it. OF course, it might help too if you erased your Web Kit prefs before reinstalling it.
