Hi Eugenia, or ji ji , or is it Gigi,
When you have a message open that has an attachment, you can go into the mail
file menu, vo m, arrow right to the file menu, and then arrow down to save
attachments. You will get a new dialog there, where you can choose the location
to save to. Once you hit the save button in this dialog, the attachments will
be saved there.
There is an alternative way of doing this, and it gives you a bit more
information. When doing it via the file menu as I just described, it's hard to
see what the names of the attachments actually are. At least, I haven't found
out how to know them. But if you read the message, and you are in the message
content table, you interact, and you then find the message header, and to the
right, the message body. Both items are intractable, as you may know. If you
interact with the header, then if a message has attachments, you will find a
pop up button there. If you hit it, you can see each filename attached to the
message you are reading, and on top of that, there is also a save all button.
But doing it this way, will let you preview the attached file names, before you
actually save them, so that you later know what to hunt for in finder. I hope
this is clear. If not just shout here.
Paul.
