Hi all, I made the switch ok to the classic layout. I beg to differ about the messages being marked as read as you arrow through them. My husband turned off the preview pain, not sure how but it involved dragging it out of existence and now unless I press return on the message it remains unread. Much better for optimizing the data downloaded to the mac.
