I'm the sort of person that will give a few things a try first, and then choose 
which one works best for me. When I learned the touch screen, I worked with it 
for a few days, then used my Braille display. Now I can use either method, in 
case my Braille display is charging, or I just need to check the weather, I 
know either will work for me. My favorite method is still the Braille display, 
because it's a bit faster.

It's just something you might consider in the long run, before you decide not 
to use the touchscreen at all.
